CBDC newsThe People's Bank of China's digital yuan has been used to buy securities for the first time, according to a local media outlet. Investors can use the central bank digital currency (CBDC) to buy securities using the Soochow Securities mobile application, said China Securities Journal, citing the securities firm.Investment newsTokyo brokerage company Monex Group is interested in FTX Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the fallen FTX crypto exchange, that’s up for sale, Bloomberg reported, citing the online brokerage’s chief executive officer Oki Matsumoto.
